So true Christianity is to believe that Christ is the Son of God. This teaching was taught by the apostles after the ascension of the founder, Christ himself, followed by the apostles and the desciplew and their followers who succeeded them until today.
"Remember those who have spoken the word of God to you, and imitate them in faith, thinking of the fruit of their faith" (Hebrews 13:3).
That is why the Orthodox religion has kept and remain in this faith of Peter. This is the rock of Peter's faith, as our Lord confirmed. Our church is directly based on this belief/rock, so it is called Orthodox Tewahedo. This rock is not renewable. Religion is the foundation. Conduct is a wall and ceiling. Therefore, the Bible says, "No one can lay a foundation other than the one that has been laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Cor 3:11)." He says. A religion based on this foundation will renew a person, but it will not be renewed.
The mystery of Incarnation is the center of our religion; and it defines our religious and spiritual identity. It’s on the basis of this mystery that our apostolic orthodox church got the prefix in its name “Tewahedo” and we are called Christians. Tewahedo is a Geez word which represents the inseparable unity between Divinity and humanity in the person of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The mystery of incarnation is a fundamental biblical teaching about revelation of God to human beings. Through incarnation mysteries of kingdom of Heaven were revealed to human beings.
The key word that translates Orthodox Tewahedo is "Wold Wahd" (the pre-age was born from a father without a mother, the afterworld was born from the Virgin Mary without a father, the only son, Jesus Christ). The basis for the name "Son" is the Gospel saying "And the Word was made flesh,". John 1:14. It means a direct and correct faith/religion that believes that Jesus Christ became one person from two natures and one body from two natures. This is based on what the prophets said, what Jesus Christ taught in the gospel, what the apostles preached, and what the scholars established. It is direct because it has been passed down from generation to generation from the apostles (the first Christians). She is the real one because she is uncorrupted, unaltered and unrevised.
Indeed, there is no one who can compete with the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in preaching the true Christ. The foundation of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo is Jesus Christ. (1st Cor. 3:10) This religious truth is irrevocable, unchangeable, absolutely correct, and we believe in it until death. (Revelation 2:10) The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is the heavenly Jerusalem on earth that preaches Christ from dawn to dusk, and from dusk to dawn 24 hours a day, year after year. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is foremost in preaching Christ.
Some people say, "The word orthodox is not in the Bible." But in the prophecy, "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.(Jer 6:16). He says. In the New Testament, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8)." This shows that there is one straight path/religion. It is Orthodox Tewahedo.
