👉🏾Answer 4
We do not teach that only a few are saved. We teach that Christ, by becoming man, saved the entire human race from the sin of Adam and Eve. However, after this universal healing, God gave us a law to guide our lives. While Christ cleansed us from Adam’s sin, He also calls us to obedience. Salvation is not automatic for the sins we personally commit. Whoever fulfills the law through faith and works will be saved, and whoever rejects it will be condemned.
As the Apostle James says, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead” (James 2:26). The Scriptures also teach us to pray, to fast, and to live a life of repentance. Our Lord Himself said, “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life” (John 6:54). Eternal life means living in communion with God and being saved from hell.
This is the teaching of the Church, my child. It does not limit Christ’s victory, nor does it deny God’s mercy. It shows us the path by which healed humanity lives in the salvation Christ has already accomplished.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
