👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾#Negere #Maryam (About Our Ledy #Mary ) Her Life in the #Temple According to #Saints and #Scholars (Part 1) Dear followers of the Orthodox teachings on John's Repentance website .we greet you with the peace of the Lord.Today , based on the topic mentioned above, we present to you the following important lesson. We encourage everyone to read it carefully and learn from it. ✍🏾Source of the teaching The life of Our Lady in the Temple is taught by many holy Fathers and scholars, including: 👉🏾Saint Yared 👉🏾Abba Tsige Dengel 👉🏾Abba Hiriakos 👉🏾Saint Athanasius 👉🏾Saint Cyril of Alexandria 👉🏾Saint Demetrius 👉🏾Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Before examining their teachings, let us first recall the account of her entrance into the Temple at the age of three. The Entrance of the Holy Virgin into the Temple When the Holy Virgin Mary reached the age of three, her parents, Saint Joachim and Saint Hannah, fulfilled the vow they had made to God. They called their relatives, friends, and their children, dressed the Holy Child in pure and special garments, and brought her to the Temple in Jerusalem. While praising God with spiritual hymns, they carried lamps in their hands and joyfully escorted her to the Temple. The High Priest Zechariah, together with the priests and elders, came out of the Temple to receive her, singing hymns of thanksgiving. With great reverence and gratitude, Joachim and Hannah presented the Holy Virgin Mary to God. At that moment, the Holy Spirit revealed to High Priest Zechariah that this Child was the one who would give birth to the Son of God, whom the prophets had foretold as the Savior who would restore humanity to Paradise. By divine revelation, Zechariah placed her in the Holy of Holies, a place where only the high priest could enter once a year to offer sacrifice. This itself was a great mystery and sign of her unique holiness. ✍🏾Her Heavenly Nourishment When Zechariah became concerned, saying: “What shall we do with this Child? What shall we feed her? What shall we give her to drink? How shall we care for her?” God, in His mercy, sent Archangel Phanuel, the angel of fire. The archangel descended from heaven, lifted the Holy Virgin with his wings, and fed her the Bread of Heaven and gave her the Cup of Light to drink. After nourishing her, the angel ascended again to heaven. Seeing this great mystery, all glorified God. Thus, Our Lady Mary, the Ark of the Incarnate Word, entered the Temple, which itself is the image of the heavenly Temple, on Tahsas 3/5488 BC, at the age of three years. After this, Joachim and Hannah returned to their home. ✍🏾Teaching of Saint Yared on Her Entrance into the Temple 👉🏾 Saint Yared teaches about the Holy Virgin in his hymns and prayers, saying: 1.The angels call Our Lady their sister and cover her with their wings. The Word of God flows from her lips like honey. The Most High loves her, and King David praised her in his Psalms. She was received into the Temple by divine will.(Saint Yared_ Metshafe diguwa) 2. “O Mary, whom the Lord has chosen, pray for us.You were received by Zechariah in the Temple. All the saints call you the New Virgin.” 3. “Our Lady, daughter of David, clothed in wisdom and humility, who grew up in the Temple, called down the One who came from heaven.” ✍🏾Teaching of Abba Tsige Dengel and Abba Gebre Mariam These scholars, in Mahlete Tsige, teach that the Holy Virgin Mary was fed by the hand of an angel. They praise her life in the Temple, saying in meaning: “O Mary, the solitude you endured when you entered the Temple while still nursing from Hannah saddens us; yet the miracle of your growth in purity fills us with joy. Phanuel, the angel of fire, who walks upon the clouds, fed you with heavenly manna together with the angels.” They also describe her as: “An Ark adorned with gold, pure in body and soul, filled with heavenly fragrance, shown to the world through the faith of Joachim and Hannah.” Continues 👇🏾
