    The Intercession at Cana of

    Galilee

Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾“They Have No Wine” 👉🏾When the wine ran out, the Holy Virgin Mary said, 👉🏾“They have no wine.” ✍🏾The Gospel does not say who informed her. It was not necessarily the bridegroom or the servants. Rather, the Holy Virgin Mary herself knew, because she is a prophetess, endowed with divine grace. She knows what has happened and what will happen. ✍🏾After Saint Zechariah and Saint Elizabeth praised her, she proclaimed: 👉🏾“From now on all generations will call me blessed.” (Luke 1:48–49) ✍🏾This declaration reveals her prophetic nature and confirms the unique grace given to her by God. ✍🏾The Grace and Knowledge of the Holy Virgin Mary Isaiah prophesies, saying, And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. ” (Isaiah 8:1). ✍🏾The Church understands this prophetess as a type pointing to Our Lady, the Holy Virgin Mary, through whom the mystery of the Incarnation would be revealed. In 2 Kings 6:8–12, the king of Syria secretly planned to attack the king of Israel. Yet the prophet Elisha, though physically in Jerusalem, knew everything that was happening in Syria. ✍🏾Through divine grace, he revealed the enemy’s plans and saved the king. This shows the extraordinary gift God granted to His prophets: knowledge of distant and hidden things. ✍🏾If the prophets of old were given such grace, what then of the Holy Virgin Mary, the Mother of God? Would it be strange that she perceived the problem in the house of Dokim (Cana) when the wine ran out? How much greater must her grace be, she who bore God the Word in her womb. Truly, none among the ancient generations was more blessed than she. Therefore the angel rightly proclaimed, “Rejoice, full of grace” (Luke 1:28). ✍🏾When our Lord said to her, “What have I to do with you?” (John 2:4), He did not speak with rejection or disrespect. He did not mean, “Go away.” Rather, His words indicate, “What is there that would prevent Me from doing what you have asked?” His response preserves both divine authority and perfect obedience. 👉🏾Scripture commands, “Honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12), and the Gospel testifies that Christ “was subject to them” (Luke 2:51). It would be unthinkable and contrary to His nature to speak harshly to His mother. ✍🏾He is the perfect Son, obedient in all things. When He said, “My hour has not yet come,” this refers not to refusal, but to divine timing. The wine had to be completely finished so that the miracle would be unmistakable. Had water been added earlier, people might have claimed the wine was merely diluted. But when all the wine was gone, and water was transformed into wine, the glory of God was clearly revealed. Thus, after the wine was entirely exhausted, our Lord Jesus Christ transformed water into wine, and His miracle became known to all. 👉🏾 For this reason, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ performed His miracle at Cana of Galilee, through the intercession of His holy Mother. May God enlighten our minds and establish us in understanding. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends:https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
