    While Doing All These Things

and When the Time of His Rest

Continued πŸ‘‡πŸΎ ✍🏾While doing all these things, and when the time of his rest came, he said to his disciples: πŸ‘‰πŸΎβ€œMy children, it does not mean that all monks will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who have truly despised the world will enter. First seek the righteousness of God, fast and pray regularly, love one another, and keep His commandments strictly.”Later, he said: πŸ‘‰πŸΎβ€œI am the salt of the world, I am the darkness of myself. What shall I answer when I stand before the true Judge, the Lord?” ✍🏾He prayed with complete humility and deep spiritual inspiration. Therefore, our Church teaches us to remember the righteous, to pray for the poor in their name, and to make their memorial, as it is written in Matthew 10:41–42. The righteous saints are: πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Those whose prayers we believe in, whether they are in the flesh or have departed from this world, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Those who pray to God and intercede before God, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Those who bring us salvation of both body and soul, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ They are our intercessors and mediators in times of trouble. Among these saints is the Ethiopian righteous Abune Tekle Haymanot. ✍🏾 Our father Abune Tekle Haymanot: πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Gave his whole life to God, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Bound himself like an ox, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Armed himself like a farmer, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Despised this world, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Devoted himself to fasting and prayer, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ Lived a life of peace. ✍🏾 In addition, like the holy apostles: πŸ‘‰πŸΎ He preached the Gospel throughout Ethiopia, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he healed sick bodies through miracles, πŸ‘‰πŸΎ He healed sick souls through his teachings. ✍🏾 Among the feasts on which Abune Tekle Haymanot is remembered, his birth is commemorated on Tahisas 24. ✍🏾 When the Book of the Sinksar speaks of his birth, it honors him with the title β€œthe new apostle.” May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen.
