👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾The #Feast of Our Righteous #Father #Abune #Tekle #Haymanot (#Tahsas 24) Dear followers of the Orthodox teachings on John's Repentance website .we greet you with the peace of the Lord.Today, based on the topic mentioned above, we present to you the following important lesson. We encourage everyone to read it carefully and learn from it. ✍🏾 Abune Tekle Haymanot, of Bulga Debre Tslalsh, also known as Zorere St. Michael Church , was conceived on Megabit 24 by his father, the priest Tsega Zeab, and his mother, the holy woman Egzi Hareya. He was born on Tahsas 24, 1197 AD, and was given the name Fisha Zion, which means the joy of Zion. ✍🏾On the third day after his birth, he descended from his mother’s arms and praised the Holy Trinity, saying, “One Father, one Son, one Holy Spirit.”He died on Nehase 24. ✍🏾 “Tekil” means a fruitful tree, a spice, a leaf, an edible and fragrant herbaceous plant, as well as a law or a system.(Matthew 15:13) ✍🏾 “Religion(haymanot)” means believing and testifying in the power of God, that God is the Creator of all, believing in the unity and Trinity of God, and in the succession of saints. ✍🏾 The phrase “Tekile Haymanot” means a plant of religion: a tree that bears the fruit of righteousness, a tree that escapes the heat of sin, a spice that delights believers with the word of the Gospel, a leaf that gives life, a leaf that satisfies the hunger of the soul when eaten, and a plant that is a shelter for the righteous. “Tekle Haymanot” means the plant of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This name explains the spiritual identity of the righteous man. ✍🏾 By the grace and guidance of his father, the priest tsega Zeab, he studied the Church’s teachings and order. At the age of fifteen, he received the ordination of deacon from the Archbishop of Alexandria, Abune Kerlos (Gerlos). In this way, he served the Holy Church from his youth. ✍🏾 One day, while the righteous Abune Tekle Haymanot was hunting with his friends, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ appeared to him and chose him as a new apostle for Ethiopian Christians. He was given the name Tekle Haymanot, which means the fruit of faith. ✍🏾 When our father began his apostolic journey, he said: “O Lord Jesus Christ! Behold, I have left my house open for You, that You may open the door of the Kingdom of Heaven to me. For me who am weak, there is no one to comfort me without You. For me who am confused, there is no one to lift me up without You. For me who am sad, there is no one to comfort me without You. For me who am poor, I have no refuge without You.”(Gedle Tekle Haymanot, Chapter 28, Verses 2–3) ✍🏾After saying this, with a humble and broken heart, he prayed to his Creator and preached in different regions of Ethiopia, turning people: 👉🏾 From sin to active righteousness 👉🏾 From apostasy to faith Because of this, he was called the light of the sun for Ethiopians. ✍🏾In his Letter to the Hebrews, Saint Paul describes the spiritual struggle of the saints: 👉🏾“They conquered kingdoms through faith” (Hebrews 11:33). Likewise, our father Saint Tekle Haymanot, through spiritual struggle, humility, and miracles, converted King Motolomi, who was an unbeliever, to Christianity. 👉🏾 “They did righteousness” (Hebrews 11:33).In the same way, our father labored and struggled for the Gospel. 👉🏾 “They stopped the mouths of lions” (Hebrews 11:33).Likewise, our father crushed the head of the dragon. 👉🏾“They escaped the edge of the sword” (Hebrews 11:34).Our father was miraculously saved from the spear thrown by Motolomi. 👉🏾“They were strengthened from weakness” (Hebrews 11:34). Our father was strengthened in many struggles, through fasting and prayer without rest. Continues 👇🏾
