Today, based on the topic mentioned above, we present to you the following important lesson. We encourage everyone to read it carefully and learn from it. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ Forgiveness of sins The Holy Liturgy brings forgiveness of sins because it is offered with repentance and a contrite heart. โœ๐Ÿพ Blessing of soul and body Through the Liturgy, both our spiritual and physical lives receive grace and healing. โœ๐Ÿพ Answered prayer The prayers offered during the Liturgy are powerful and acceptable before God. โœ๐Ÿพ Participation in angelic blessings When we participate in and consecrate the Holy Liturgy worthily, we unite with the angels and receive eternal blessings, for through the Holy Liturgy the Body and Blood of our Lord sanctify the faithful and grant life to those who partake reverently. โœ๐ŸพFour Major Fruits of Celebrating the Holy Liturgy 1. Education (Teaching of the Faith) During the Holy Liturgy, the faithful learn and come to know the dogma and teachings of the Church. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ For example, when the Liturgy of St. Mary is celebrated (written by aba hriaqos ), it teaches: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThe mystery of the Holy Trinity ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThe mystery of the Incarnation ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพThe role and holiness of the Virgin Mary Thus, the Holy Liturgy itself becomes a living and active school of theology. 2. History of the Church A person who participates in all 14 Liturgies learns the history of the Church, the saints, and the progression of salvation as preserved in the liturgical tradition. 3. Spiritual Advice (Exhortation) The Liturgy teaches us: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพLove and patience ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพUnity and forgiveness ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพFasting and prayer Therefore, anyone who participates attentively receives continual spiritual guidance. 4. Exhortation (Spiritual Instruction) We receive exhortation within the Holy Liturgy. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ For example, if a person has a quarrel with his brother, the Holy Liturgy (kidase egzi'e) teaches him to forgive. In this part of the Liturgy, we are instructed to submit ourselves to the Creator, to renew our commitment before God, and to preserve our covenant of communion with one another. By sanctifying and participating in the Holy Liturgy, we learn these foundational principles that are beneficial for all humanity. โœ๐Ÿพ The Holy Liturgy as Communal Prayer and Offering The Holy Liturgy is a sacred prayer in which Scripture readings and hymns are offered. All participate together the priest, the deacon, and the faithful. The Church teaches: โ€œDo not stand naked before the prophet of God.โ€ This means that no one should stand before God during the Holy Liturgy without an offering or alms in hand. Even if we have little, we should approach Him with what we are able to offer, without fear or shame. If possible, it is appropriate to bring incense, raisins, candles, or other offerings. During the Holy Liturgy, the priest prays specifically for the offerings brought by the faithful. If no offering is brought, we must ask ourselves, โ€œFor whom is this prayer offered?โ€ ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ Therefore, we must prepare in advance for the celebration of the Holy Liturgy. Even if we are unable to participate in other spiritual services, we should always set aside time to attend and sanctify the Holy Liturgy. โœ๐ŸพOur Responsibility When We Come to the holy Liturgy When we come to church, we must: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพStand reverently and participate actively ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพListen attentively to the Scriptures and apply them to our livesReceive Holy Communion with faith for eternal life The Liturgy proclaims in its opening hymn: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพโ€œWhoever does not remain until the end of the Liturgy, who does not listen to the Scriptures, and who does not receive the Holy Communion, let him be separated from the communion of the Church.โ€Therefore, preparation is essential.
