ππΎ Newly baptized men (after forty days)
ππΎ Newly baptized women (after eighty days)
ππΎ Infants baptized at eighty days
These receive first among the people, for they are newly sanctified and resemble the angels in purity.
ππΎ After these, children (from forty days up to six or seven years), the youngest first according to age
ππΎ Next, virgins who have lived in purity and those in monastic life who are not priests
ππΎ Next, young virgins around twenty to twenty-two years of age
ππΎ Next, those who serve in the church because of their office: deacons, students, and zemariyan
ππΎ Next, penitents, each in his or her own level .
Order on the Womenβs Side
βπΎ On the womenβs side, the order is as follows:
ππΎ Children from eighty days to six or seven years, according to age
ππΎ Virgins from twelve to fifteen years of age
ππΎ Wives of priests
ππΎ Mothers of monks who have remained faithful to the rule
ππΎ Wives of deacons
ππΎ Monks and nuns who have returned to the monastery with repentance.
ππΎ Wives of nfke deacons, church students , and mezemran
ππΎ Mothers who have respect the rule of God
ππΎ wives of repentant
After this, the priest blesses the people with the hand that has touched the holy Eucharist .
The priests then join hands and bless one another.
βπΎ When the priest blesses another priest, he says:
βThe authority of Peter is in you.β
βπΎ The priest who receives the blessing responds, saying:
βIf the Kingdom of Heaven has appointed you as an heir, may it not reject you.β
βπΎ When the priest blesses the deacons, he says:
βMay the Most High God glorify you and bless you, enlighten your eyes and your heart to teach, and reveal His mysteries to you.β
βπΎWhen the priest blesses the faithful, he says:
βMay the Most High God glorify you, bless you, and reveal His grace to you.β
βπΎ When the priest blesses the women, he says:
βMay the Most High God bless you, glorify you, and reveal His grace to you.β
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
