    Saint Paul Also Reminds Us

That Fear Does Not Come From God

Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾Saint Paul also reminds us that fear does not come from God: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” The person who places their trust in God does not live in fear, because divine grace strengthens the heart. ✍🏾King David, the beloved of God, spoke with confidence when he said, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4). For the one who trusts in God, even the darkest path is made safe by His presence. ✍🏾The Lord said to Saint Paul in a night vision, “Do not be afraid, for no one will attack you to harm you; but speak, and do not be silent, for I have many people in this city” (Acts 18:9–10). This reveals a profound truth: when God is with us, nothing and no one can overcome us. His protection gives courage, and His presence casts out fear. ✍🏾Saint Paul also teaches us that God is the One who guards our entire being in peace. “May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Thessalonians 5:23). God is the God of peace, and He preserves harmony within us when we trust in Him. ✍🏾The struggle for inner peace also involves the daily conflict between the flesh and the spirit. Saint Paul writes, “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit what is against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another” (Galatians 5:16–17). This teaches us that the spiritual life is a continual battle. The flesh pulls us toward sin, while the Spirit draws us toward holiness. Inner peace comes when we obey the Spirit, resist the desires of the flesh, and allow God to rule our hearts. Part 40 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends:https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
