✍🏾Saint Paul taught the same truth when he wrote, “For since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through the things that have been made” (Romans 1:20).
By reflecting on creation, our hearts perceive the invisible God through His visible works.
Creation is therefore not merely the background of human life; it is a revelation that allows the pure heart to see God’s power, His providence, and His glory.
✍🏾Seeing God through Vision
Many holy people in Scripture saw God in visions and heard His voice, demonstrating that God reveals Himself to those who are pure in heart.
👉🏾 Hearing God’s Call
When the sons of Eli sinned against God, He called Samuel, who was pure in heart. The Scripture says:
“And the Lord came and stood, and Samuel called as at other times, Samuel: and Samuel said, ‘Speak; for thy servant heareth.’” (1 Samuel 3:1-14)
Saul also heard the voice of God on the road to Damascus:
“As I journeyed and came near Damascus about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven flashed around me. I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?’ And I answered, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ He said, ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.’” (Acts 22:6-9)
Those who were with Saul saw the light but did not hear the voice, showing that hearing God’s call requires spiritual attentiveness.
✍🏾Seeing God in Trials
David, the noble king and servant of God, testified to God’s help in trials:
“All my bones say to you, O Lord, who is like you? You deliver the poor from the hand of him who oppresses, the needy and the poor from the hand that snatches them away.” (Psalm 35:10)
He also declared:
“I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand, that I should not be shaken.” (Acts 2:25)
This teaches us that God is always present before the pure in heart. In trials and temptations, those with pure hearts will see His protection and assistance.
✍🏾Seeing God in the Lives of Others
We also see God through the lives of righteous people, whose faith and holiness reveal His presence and power.
A clear example is the life of Job, the upright and blameless man. God Himself testified to Job’s righteousness:
“And the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and turns away from evil.’” (Job 1:8)
Even when Satan challenged Job’s faithfulness, God preserved him, saying:
“Behold, all that he has is in your power; but do not lay your hand on him.” (Job 1:12)
Through Job’s life, we witness God’s justice, protection, and blessing. His patience, obedience, and fear of God reveal how God works in and through the lives of those who are pure in heart.
Part 33 Continues ...
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
