Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾Anba Abram Anba Abram is one of the saints of the twentieth century, remembered especially for his deep compassion and his countless works of mercy. Among the many stories of his kindness, the following two examples are often told: • After his ordination as a bishop, Anba Abram turned his episcopal residence into a refuge for the homeless, the poor, orphans, and strangers. Anyone who came in need found shelter and comfort under his care. • One day, a poor woman came to him seeking help. Anba Abram had no money at that moment, but someone had recently given him a new cloak. He told the woman honestly that he had no money, then told her to sold the cloak and get the money she needed. The woman went to the market to sell the cloak, and the original owner recognized it. He bought it back and returned it to Anba Abram. Before handing it to him, the man asked, “Father, why did you not wear this cloak during the winter?” Anba Abram answered simply, “My cloak is above,” meaning his treasure is in heaven. The man gave the cloak back, and Anba Abram asked him, “Did you pay the woman the full price she deserved?”and the man replied that he had gave . Part 27 Continues ...
