    Ask and It Will Be

Given to You Seek and You Will

Continued ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ โœ๐Ÿพโ€œAsk, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. Everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Or which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him?โ€ (Matthew 7:7-11) โœ๐Ÿพ In this teaching, our Lord assures us that God grants righteousness to those who earnestly seek it: ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพHe gives righteousness to those who ask. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพHe grants righteousness to those who seek. ๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸพHe opens the door of righteousness to those who knock. โœ๐Ÿพ Just as a loving earthly father provides good gifts to his children, so our heavenly Father abundantly gives what is good to those who desire righteousness and draw near to Him with faith and sincerity. The first step in striving for righteousness is cleansing from sin. Just as a physically ill person loses appetite and does not feel hunger or thirst, a person living in sin has little desire for righteousness. A sick person may not enjoy food even when he eats it; likewise, a sinner does not enjoy spiritual things. But when the sick recover, their appetite returns. In the same way, when a sinner repents and washes away his sins, he begins to hunger and thirst for righteousness again. Therefore, one must separate himself from sin in order to develop spiritual hunger. โœ๐ŸพJust as the immediate need of a hungry and thirsty person is food and water (James 2:15โ€“16), the immediate duty of the one who hungers for righteousness is to strive for righteousness alone. And the goal of this striving must be the attainment of righteousness. Part 20 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. ยฉ John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends:https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
