Continued 👇🏾 👉🏾The Blessing of Debre Qusquam ✍🏾Our Lady blessed and sanctified Mount Qusquam, where she rested when she returned from exile with her Son. Regarding this mountain as a holy place, Saint Theophilos, Archbishop of Alexandria, said in his sermon on Mary: 👉🏾"This is a mountain higher than all the mountains of the world, in which the Holy God dwells. The Son of God loved and honored this mountain, and He dwelt with His Holy Mother above all the nations of the world. He did not choose to dwell in the house of angels, nor did He choose Bethany, but stayed in a monastery on this mountain, just as the prophet David loved Mount Zion and built his temple there." 👉🏾"When you became the dwelling place of God, O mountain, perfect joy was made between the cherubim and seraphim, and the angelic host served their Holy Creator and Lord. You, O mountain, are higher than all mountains, even Mount Sinai, for our Lord abode in you. When our Lord dwelled on Mount Sinai, there was perfect joy and great light, yet no one except Moses could approach and see Him. Even he could not behold His face. No one in flesh can see Him and live. But we have seen Him and understood His abode, and we have seen Him again in the pure Mary. From our holy Mother Mary, who was united with us in Bethlehem in flesh, He came in darkness and the shadow of death to save us because of His kindness and love for mankind. When people sinned by worshiping idols more than all the world, He descended into Egypt and revealed His great glory, shining the light of His divinity upon them." (Dirsane Mariam) 👉🏾The Mystery of Hidar 6 ✍🏾On Hidar 6, as read from the Book of the Sinksar, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in later times, gathered the apostles together at Mount Qusquam, venerated the ark and the church, offered a sacrifice, and gave them His holy body and precious blood. (Hidar Sinksar) May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
