Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness Our Lord Jesus Christ, who took on human flesh for our redemption and for our example, is the Sun of Righteousness and the perfection of holiness. He taught us to hunger and thirst for righteousness not only by His words but by the entirety of His life. He proclaimed: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.” 👉🏾And He fulfilled this teaching through His works: 👉🏾His humble birth in a stable taught us meekness and lowliness of heart. 👉🏾His exile to Egypt blessed our own trials and sufferings. 👉🏾His fasting sanctified the practice of fasting for all believers. 👉🏾His baptism in the Jordan established the mystery of baptism for the Church. 👉🏾His life among the poor and tax collectors revealed mercy and compassion. 👉🏾His miracles healed the bodies of the sick, and His teachings healed the souls of the wounded. 👉🏾His cleansing of the temple showed holy zeal for the purity of God’s house. 👉🏾His crucifixion gave us His holy flesh and precious blood for our salvation. 👉🏾His resurrection on the third day made Him the firstfruits of the resurrection for all humanity. ✍🏾Christ alone satisfies those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. In every step of His earthly life, He became the perfect example for us, calling us to strive for righteous deeds and a pure heart before God. Part 19 Continues ...
