    Is Christ the Mediator if

He Is God to Whom Does He

    #christ

    #intercede
👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾Is #Christ the #Mediator? If He is God, to Whom Does He #Intercede? (Part 20) Dear brothers and sisters who follow the Orthodox teachings ,we greet you with the peace of God. Today’s teaching is presented based on the above topic. May you read it attentively and learn from it with understanding. ✍🏾Christ Alone Bears the Sins of Humanity When the arm of God was revealed for the salvation of mankind to become a sin offering and to give His life unto death the prophet declared: “He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.” (Isaiah 53:12) This means that it is Christ Himself alone, not angels, not righteous men, nor martyrs, who can bear the sins of humanity. As the Psalmist also prays: “Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of Your name; deliver us and forgive our sins, for Your name’s sake.” (Psalm 79:9) Even before Christ came in the flesh, Isaiah had already foretold that He would intercede for mankind. The Fulfillment of Prophecy in Christ After these prophecies were fulfilled and God appeared in the flesh, the Apostle Paul clearly wrote: “For it pleased the Father that in Him all fullness should dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:19–20) This sacred word reveals two important truths: 1. When God appeared in the flesh and lived among us, He reconciled humanity to Himself. 2. Even now and forever, Christ continues to live and intercede for us. (Hebrews 7:25) This teaches us that the precious blood shed on the Cross is, today and until the coming of the Lord, the only way for a sinner to repent, to be baptized in the saving Name of the Lord Jesus, to receive forgiveness, and to be reconciled with God. Forgiveness of sins and reconciliation are accomplished only through His blood, which was shed once for all, for the salvation of mankind. ✍🏾The Arm of God Revealed for Salvation As we have seen, Scripture declares: “According to the law, almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.” (Hebrews 9:22) Because there was no mediator on earth who could forgive sins or reconcile mankind to God, the Lord Himself revealed His own arm as the Savior. As the prophet Isaiah testifies: “Truth has fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter… So His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him.” (Isaiah 59:15–17) ✍🏾God’s Own Arm The Savior Again, in another prophecy, God Himself speaks, saying: “I looked, but there was no one to help; I was astonished that there was no one to uphold; therefore My own arm brought salvation for Me, and My wrath sustained Me.” (Isaiah 63:5) This divine word was fulfilled when God sent forth His own arm His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ to save humanity from eternal death. As it is written: “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29) And again: “There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1–4) For through His own blood, He purchased the Church of God. (Acts 20:28) 👉🏾“Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.” (Psalm 98:1) Through the mystery of the Incarnation, the Lord’s own right hand His divine power manifested in Christ accomplished salvation for all who believe. Therefore, let every soul give thanks to the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. Continues 👇🏾
