Continued 👇🏾 The Message of Reconciliation Christ gave the apostles the good news the message of reconciliation and entrusted them with the Word of reconciliation. Today, in all their messages, they continue to plead with believers to be reconciled to God (2 Cor. 5:19-20). As Paul writes in Ephesians 2:14-16: 👉🏾"For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, having abolished the law of commandments contained in ordinances, and has broken down the middle wall of hostility in His flesh, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, and to reconcile both to God in one body, having killed the hostility by the cross." Good news! The wall of hostility has been broken down in His flesh. Since no angel or human could accomplish this, only Christ could break the hostility through His flesh, shed His blood, and offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sinners (Matt. 26:26-27). ✍🏾For all descendants of Adam, Christ became the sin offering for humanity. He is the surety, the advocate, the intercessor, and the one who reconciles humanity with God, both on earth and in heaven. As Scripture says in Isaiah 59:15-17: “…and the Lord saw, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment; and He saw that there was no man; and He was astonished that there was no intercessor for Him; therefore His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness helped Him. And He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance, and He girded Himself with zeal.” ✍🏾The phrase “He put on the garments of vengeance” indicates that God appeared in the flesh (1 Tim. 3:16) to take vengeance on the enemy and defeat sin and death, accomplishing salvation for humanity. Part 20 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
