✍🏾The Two Forms of Christ’s Intercession
According to divine revelation, the intercession of Christ is expressed in two ways:
1. The Intercession of Christ in Prayer
2. The Intercession for the Forgiveness of Sins, accomplished through His Sacrifice on the Cross
(1) The Intercession of Christ in Prayer
When our Lord Jesus Christ appeared in the flesh, He revealed by His example how a righteous person should submit to God. Though He is God Himself, He showed mankind the way of humble obedience and sincere prayer.
He said:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
And again:
“You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.” (John 13:13)
In His humanity, Christ prayed to the Father to teach us how to pray; in His divinity, He received those prayers as the eternal Word. His prayers were not out of weakness, but to instruct us in humility, obedience, and union with the will of God.
Part 19 Continues ...
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
