    The Meek Live in Contentment

They Are Content Because They Understand That

Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾The meek live in contentment:- They are content because they understand that everything comes from God, and they do not covet what others possess. Saint Paul teaches, “I do not say this because I am in need. I have learned to be content with whatever I have. I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. In everything and in all circumstances, I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:11-13). This teaching guides the meek in their daily life, helping them live joyfully, thankful for God’s provision, and free from greed or insatiable desire. They also follow the wisdom of Saint Paul: “But godliness is great gain when combined with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot carry anything out. If we have food and clothing, we will be content with that” (1 Timothy 6:6-8). Likewise, they live by the principle in Hebrews 13:5: “Keep your life free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’.” Through such contentment, the meek demonstrate trust in God, simplicity of heart, and freedom from worldly attachment. ✍🏾The meek do not avenge. When someone wrongs them, the meek do not seek revenge, nor do they demand that God avenge them. Instead, they pray for forgiveness and trust God’s justice. They remember the divine promise: “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:14). Saint Paul teaches: “Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord’” (Romans 12:19). Likewise, Saint Peter instructs: “Do not repay evil for evil or insult for insult. On the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may inherit a blessing” (1 Peter 3:9). The Apostle Paul also writes: “See that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always seek to do good to everyone” (1 Thessalonians 5:15). Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself exemplified meekness in action: “When He was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but entrusted Himself to Him who judges righteously” (1 Peter 2:23). Through such humility and trust, the meek demonstrate true spiritual strength, leaving justice in God’s hands and responding to evil with goodness. Part 10 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
