The Righteous Job
The righteous Job, who endured great trials, prayed to God with a pure and faithful heart, saying:
“O earth, do not cover my blood, and let my cry find no resting place.” (Job 16:18)
God permitted him to face deep suffering to test his faith. When his trials became severe, Job cried out:
“Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard; I cry aloud, but there is no justice.” (Job 19:7)
He reflected on the fate of the wicked, asking:
“What is the hope of the hypocrite, though he may gain much, if God takes away his life? Will God hear his cry when trouble comes upon him?” (Job 27:8–9)
Through these words, Job teaches us that one should weep and turn to God while still in this life, before it is too late.
When Job was in great distress and felt abandoned, he said:
"I cry out to you, but you do not answer me; I stand up, and you only look at me.” (Job 30:20)
Even in his anguish, Job’s compassion extended beyond himself:
“Did I not weep for him who was in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?” (Job 30:25)
Thus, the righteous Job shows us that tears offered in faith whether for our own suffering or for the suffering of others are never forgotten by God. His patience and sorrow became his path to righteousness and his witness of steadfast trust in the Lord.

May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
