    The Guardianship and Intercession of

Angels God in His Mercy Has Appointed

Continued 👇🏾 ✍🏾✍🏾 The Guardianship and Intercession of Angels God, in His mercy, has appointed angels to guard every human being. As it is written: 👉🏾 “He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11). This verse reveals that the Creator has prepared heavenly guardians to protect the children of men. Our Lord Jesus Christ also confirmed this divine truth through the parable of the gardener (Luke 13:6–9), teaching that every person is cared for by a heavenly guardian, as the gardener tends the fig tree. This is why in the book of Daniel the angel is called “a holy watcher” or “a holy guardian” (Daniel 4:13, 4:23). Moreover, in the Gospel of Matthew, the Lord Himself bears witness to the existence of guardian angels when He says: 👉🏾 “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for their angels always behold the face of My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10). This verse clearly reveals the intercession of the angels. The phrase “their angels” means that every person has a guardian angel assigned to them by God. These angels continually behold the face of the Father that is, they stand in His presence, praying and interceding for the souls entrusted to their care. ✍🏾The Angels as Our Heavenly Family The angels are not distant or foreign beings. They are our elder brothers in the divine household. They are called the sons of God (Job 1:6; 2:1), created before humanity, while we, too, are made children of God (John 1:12). Just as children of one father are brothers and sisters, so are we united with the angels in the household of God. The angels are also said to be “ours” our angels not because we possess them by authority, but because God has appointed them to serve and protect us. They rejoice when we repent, they grieve when we sin, and they continually present our prayers before the throne of God. When the Gospel says, “Their angels always behold the face of My Father,” it means that they constantly pray for us, intercede for our salvation, and even bear witness against those who despise others made in the image of God. The verse also serves as a warning: those who mistreat others will one day be judged by the very angels who prayed for the ones they wronged. Conclusion The intercession of the holy angels is therefore a truth revealed in Scripture and upheld by the Holy Church. They stand before God in unceasing prayer, offering intercession for humanity. They are our heavenly guardians, our companions in worship, and our protectors in the unseen battle of the spirit. Part 13 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
