    The Hidden Meaning of the

Continued 👇🏾 The Hidden Meaning of the Parable The Holy Fathers, to whom the Holy Spirit revealed the hidden wisdom of this parable, interpret this sacred teaching in the following way: God is the Lord of the vineyard, who planted His people to bear the fruits of righteousness. The fig tree  represents Israel, chosen and blessed to bring forth spiritual fruit. The vinedresser, or vineyard worker, symbolizes the Archangel Michael (Mika’el), the great guardian and intercessor. The three years signify the three great periods of the Old Testament: the time of the judges, the time of the kings, and the time of the priests. During these periods, God sent prophets and teachers to guide His people. Yet, they remained fruitless in righteousness and unrepentant. When judgment was about to fall upon them, the Archangel Michael, represented as the vinedresser, interceded for mercy. Through his plea, God granted forgiveness and allowed the people more time to repent. The Mystery in the New Testament In the New Testament, this same divine mystery is revealed again. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself came and taught for three years among the Israelites. Yet, as the fig tree they hardened their hearts and rejected Him , losing the fruit of faith and virtue. At this time, when judgment was near and destruction was deserved, Saint Gabriel , symbolized again by the vinedresser or vineyard worker, pleaded for mercy, saying, “Leave it for this year also.” He interceded on behalf of the people, asking for time for repentance. The Lord, full of compassion, accepted the prayer of Saint Gabriel and granted His people the grace of repentance and mercy instead of judgment. The Heavenly Intercession before God The Holy Scriptures also testify that God receives the prayers and intercessions of the holy angels. As the Book of Revelation declares: “And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand.” (Revelation 8:3–4) Conclusion: Therefore, beloved, let us honor the holy angels who ceaselessly serve before God, interceding for us day and night. Their prayers rise with ours like sweet incense before the throne of the Almighty. Through their intercession, may we receive mercy, protection, and strength to bear the good fruits of repentance and righteousness, so that when the Lord returns, He may find us fruitful and faithful in His vineyard. part 11 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
