His Monastic Calling and Angelic Commission
When he was three years old, the angel Saint Gabriel, took him from the monastery where the monks lived and placed him at the gate. When Abba Zemedbirhan heard about this sign, he found the child, took him in, and made him a monk. Abba Zemedbirhan raised him, taught him, and guided him in the monastic life.
After this, he was given the gift of healing. In a single day, he healed thousands of blind and lame people. When the bishops and priests heard about his fame and came to investigate and tax his works, , Saint Gabriel took him and presented him before the Lord.
The Lord said, “Many will be saved from death, the torment of the soul, and hell.” Then he told him, “Go into the forest, live apart from people, with sixty the Anabst and the Anabrt..” they asked, “My Lord, what will they eat and live on?” The Lord replied, “They will live by licking the dust that you have trampled on; that will be their food.”
They entered a secluded monastery and began to live among the Anabst and the Anabrt. When Daniel was cast out by the Anabst, the Anabst followed him like a cat under his feet.
After living this way for 30 years, the Lord appeared to them in three forms and asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
First, they asked to pray for the people of the earth. They said, “Have mercy on them.” The Lord brought 3,000 sinners out of hell and led them to paradise.
His Mission to Ethiopia and Intercessory Sacrifice
He was commanded, "Go to Ethiopia," and Saint Gabriel carried him in a chariot to " Midre Kebd". Afterward, he was taken to Zquwala (Debre kidus), where he prayed for 100 years with a pure heart, pleading for the forgiveness of the sins of the Ethiopian people.
When he was 40 days , an angel appeared to him and said:
"Remember, O Master, and come to me."But he replied:
"If you do not forgive ethiopia, I will not come out of the sea."
He remained in prayer for 100 years, crying out:
"If you do not forgive Ethiopia , I will not come out of the sea."
After this long intercession, the Lord rose and said:
"I will forgive , O Master. Come out of the sea."
After receiving forgiveness, he and the angel descended from the heavens and stood between the earth and the sky for seven years shining like a pillar of light, praying day and night without covering their eyes.
However, Satanstill filled with envycame in the form of a crow and blinded them. After two weeks of prayer, Saint Michael and Saint Gabriel came to their aid and healed them.
From there, they returned to Zquwala, where they saw the Holy Trinity resting under the shade of the elders of the temple. The Trinity said to them:
"We have asked you pby the throne of God. Please sending out us , one by one."
As they departed, they saw the Trinity as three in one, and they fell down in awe. But God lifted them up and said:
"Go to Zquwala and defeat your enemies."
They obeyed, arriving like a flash of lightning, and empowered by the seven archangels they destroyed thousands of demons.
