    The Power of the Saints'

Intercession the Orthodox Church Teaches With Unwavering

Continued 👇🏾 The Power of the Saints’ Intercession The Orthodox Church teaches, with unwavering faith, that the righteous martyrs, the holy angels, and above all, our Lady the Holy Virgin Mary, intercede for us before our Creator. Yet this teaching offends the ears of those who reject the communion of the saints. They see honor to the saints as an insult to God, not understanding that to honor the servants of God is to glorify their Master. The claim that intercession should be rejected and that no one should seek the prayers of others is not only false but deeply offensive to the Orthodox faithful. It is hypocrisy and betrayal of the ancient faith handed down through the Apostles. The Churches of Alexandria, Syria, India, and Armenia, which stand among the oldest in the Christian world, have all preserved the belief in the intercession of saints. Their witness proves that this teaching belongs to the earliest and purest form of Christianity. History itself testifies that the denial of intercession is a recent invention an unfamiliar stream flowing far from the ancient river of truth. The Holy Scriptures warn us clearly: “Do not be carried away by strange teachings, for Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) Therefore, let every believer remain steadfast in the faith of the fathers, cherishing the intercession of the saints as a sign of God’s mercy and as the unbroken bond between heaven and earth. Part 2 Continues ... May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends:https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
