The Victory of the Cross
✍🏾St. Paul tells us that we should bow before the Holy Cross: “We will worship at the place where His feet stood” (Ps. 13:7). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross on Friday. Through the cross we will defeat our enemies. “You have given a sign to those who fear You, that they may flee from the bow” (Ps. 59:4). That sign is the sign of the cross. He tells us that through the cross we will be saved from Satan. Christ was crucified on the cross so that our curse might be removed, and we might be blessed in both body and soul. Therefore, the cross destroys the curse and grants us life in body and soul.
✍🏾On the Cross, enmity was slain, for the devil who sows hatred between man and God was himself defeated (Eph. 2:16). On the Cross, curse was destroyed, for Christ became Crucified for our curse , that we might receive blessing in body and soul. On the Cross, man and angels were reconciled, heaven and earth united, and the love of God was revealed in fullness.
✍🏾Whenever we see the Cross, we are reminded of how much God loves us for He loved us even to death upon it. Therefore we rejoice, we bless, we worship, we glory in the Cross. It is our redemption, our power, our salvation, our everlasting boast.
Conclusion
✍🏾Let us then embrace the Cross with faith and joy, never separating ourselves from Christ who sanctified it with His blood. Let us hold it as our banner, our strength, and our crown. For the Cross has crushed the devil, destroyed enmity, reconciled creation, and revealed the boundless love of God.

May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
