    Pagume and the Resurrection Pagume

    Also Holds Another Mystery

Continued 👇🏾 Pagume and the Resurrection Pagume also holds another mystery. It is the month of transition. As the year comes to its end, and as winter’s darkness prepares to pass, so Pagume reminds us of the greater passage: the Resurrection. For just as Pagume turns us from the old year to the new, the Resurrection turns us from what is temporary to what is eternal, from earth to heaven, from death to life. Every year, in the month of Pagume, Christians gather in the church from nightfall to receive baptism with holy water. Through this, we seek God’s mercy: that He may grant us a blessed new year, forgive the sins of the past, heal us from our infirmities, sanctify our lives, and prepare us for a future filled with His blessing. A Prayer for the New Year Let us then beseech the Lord of times and seasons: That He grant us a new year of peace and health, That He turn our hearts to repentance, That He make us worthy to partake of His holy Body and precious Blood, That He number us among the heirs of His everlasting Kingdom. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends:https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
