Peace After Confession
God, who hears the groaning of the heart, will visit us:
With forgiveness, washing our soul like the dew upon parched grass
With blessing, turning past shame into holy humility
With love, driving away the storm of guilt and replacing it with peace
Do not, beloved, insult the grace of God by doubting His absolution. Do not crucify Christ again in your mind by recalling what He has already buried. The sin you confessed if truly repented is not only forgiven, but forgotten in heaven. So why should it trouble you still on earth?
Final Exhortation
Let us not grow weary in repentance. Let us be courageous gardeners, pulling every root of evil with holy zeal. Let us guard the spring of our soul, lest it be polluted by fear or shame. Let us run to Christ, our Rock, our Shelter, our Mercy.
may the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
