    The Holy Baptism His First

Act of Redemption the First Ordinance After

continued👇🏾 The Holy Baptism: His First Act of Redemption The first ordinance after the Lord’s birth was not a commandment of the tongue, but an action of humility His Baptism. And why was He baptized, who had no sin? To fulfill prophecy (Psalm 113:3-6)  that He might sanctify the created waters. To reveal the Holy Trinity as the Father speaks and the Spirit descends (Matt. 3:17). To serve as our example calling all to follow Him in meekness and repentance (Matt. 11:28-29). To cancel our debt and triumph over the adversary (Col. 2:13-15). To demonstrate the power of Baptism for He made the waters a womb of rebirth, a fount of incorruption. Why Do We Get Baptized? If He, who was sinless, was baptized, how much more should we? Baptism is no empty rite; it is the doorway to salvation: To be cleansed from sin, for the waters are no longer ordinary but sanctified (1 Cor. 6:11). To receive the Spirit of adoption, becoming sons of the Father through the Son (Matt. 28:19; John 1:12; John 3:5). To enter into salvation, for “he who believes and is baptized shall be saved” (Mark 16:16). O you who delay baptism do you not see? This is no human tradition, but divine grace. Why Did the Son of God Appear? Ah, here we return to the blessed root of our meditation: The Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the devil. He did not come merely to instruct or inspire but to conquer. To tear down the dominion of death, to silence the accuser, to shatter the shackles of sin, and to restore us to our Father’s house. He destroyed not by sword, but by Cross. He overthrew not by force, but by love. He undid the works of the devil by becoming the Second Adam, sinless and obedient, that through Him we might become sons and daughters of God once again. Final Exhortation O faithful soul, marvel not only at what was done marvel at why it was done. For you. For your redemption. For your restoration. Let this mystery not be a tale for your ears only, but a fire in your heart, a new birth in your soul. Let the revelation of Christ destroy every remaining trace of the devil’s work in your heart pride, bitterness, impurity, despair for this is why He came. And if He has revealed Himself to you today, then fall at His feet, and follow Him. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
