And what shall we say of the heavenly vision seen in the Seraph of the Aramaic?
It is the image of the Church itself:
The Throne of Light – the altar of Christ
The Ark of Light – the Theotokos
The Veil of Light – the mystery of the Incarnation
The Four Pillars – the four evangelists and chief bishops
The Twenty-Four Elders – the company of apostolic bishops around the throne of God (cf. Revelation 4:4)
Let the weak in faith be awakened! For this is no tale of old, but a present reality: the Church is born of heaven, and the Virgin is her crown. She is not honored for her own sake alone, but because in her the fullness of Christ was pleased to dwell, and in her name, He established the visible sign of salvation on earth the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
Let us therefore honor the feasts of Sene 20 and 21 with awe and devotion, not as a relic of the past, but as a living remembrance that Christ built His Church in the name of His Mother, and through her intercession, continues to build it even now in every land and heart.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
