    What Does God Want From

    Us

👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾What Does #God #Want from #Us? Beloved brethren in Christ, children of the Light and heirs of the Kingdom, incline your ears and hearts to this holy instruction. For today, we consider not the fleeting desires of men, but the eternal desire of the Almighty God—what He, the Creator of heaven and earth, seeks from us who are but dust and ashes. It is not gold nor silver He requires, not burnt offerings or incense alone, but something far greater, far holier, far more intimate: He wants your heart, your will, and your faith. Do not mistake God’s desire for your heart as a poetic metaphor. No, it is the very core of the Gospel. God does not dwell in temples made by hands, but in the hearts of the humble and contrite. He who fashioned your heart desires to reign in it. But He does not force entry; He knocks, He waits. He desires love that is freely given, not extracted. Your heart, once surrendered, becomes a throne for the King of Glory. And what of the will? Here too, many are mistaken. The will God seeks is not the will of brute strength or iron stubbornness. It is the will that says, “Lord, I want to come home. Help my weakness.” This will, even if faint, is precious in His sight. The moment you will to return, even feebly, God meets you on the road. As Saint Paul declares, “It is God who works in you both to will and to do His good pleasure” (Philippians 2:13). He does not merely observe from afar; He acts within, energizing both the desire and the deed in those who turn to Him. But take heed, brethren! We must not fall into presumption, saying, “Since God will work, I need not struggle.” Far be it! Such thinking is death. Though grace empowers, it does not eliminate effort. Just as a farmer must till the land even while rain comes from heaven, so must we labor in repentance, prayer, and virtue, even while grace descends from above. Our cooperation with God is the proof of our sincerity, the seal of our covenant. continues 👇🏾
