    You Good Servant Because You

Were Trusted in a Little I Will

    #you

    #trusted
    #appoint
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽#You #good #servant, because you were #trusted in a little, I will #appoint you in many ways Beloved in Christ, let us reflect on this sacred teaching, drawn from the words of our Lord. The faithful servant is not merely one who holds onto what has been given but one who multiplies it, laboring diligently for the glory of God. To such a servant, the Lord proclaims: “You good servant, because you were trusted in a little, I will appoint you in many ways. Enter into the joy of your master.” The Parable of the Talents: A Divine Test A certain master, before departing on a long journey, entrusted his servants with talents: One received five talents and traded them, gaining five more. One received two talents and likewise doubled his master’s gift. One received one talent but, overcome with fear, buried it in the ground. After a long time, the master returned to settle accounts. To the first two, he said: 👉 “You good servant, because you were trusted in a little, I will appoint you in many ways. Enter into the joy of your master.” But to the one who buried his talent, he declared: 👉 “You knew that I reap where I have not sown. If you knew this, why did you not at least entrust my money to the bankers that I might receive it with interest?” Thus, the master commanded: 👉 “Take the talent from him and give it to the one with ten. For to the one who has, more will be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.” Finally, the unfaithful servant was cast into outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. The Meaning of This Lesson This lesson is for all Christians, from the clergy to the laity, urging us to use what has been entrusted to us not waste it in laziness or neglect. Christianity is not merely a name but a way of life. Many claim to follow Christ, but their deeds betray them: 👉 Evil, deceit, greed 👉 Avarice, fornication 👉 Envy, slander 👉 Treachery, selfishness 👉 Love of money and revenge These are not the marks of a faithful servant but of one who buries his talent. Who Are the Five-Talent Servants? Priests, teachers, and leaders who labor to spread the Gospel and build up the Church. Those who establish congregations, instruct in hymns and scripture, and exhort in sound doctrine. Married couples who live holy lives, raising priests, prophets, and kings within their households. The rich, who use their wealth to support the poor and advance righteousness. Bishops and shepherds, who guard the flock against wolves, thieves, and false teachers (Acts 20:28). Who Are the Two-Talent Servants? Pastors and ministers who protect the flock and teach perfect doctrine. Faithful defenders of the faith who stand against heresies and uphold the truth of the Gospel. Those who endure trials and suffering for Christ’s sake, bearing fruit in perseverance. Who Are the One-Talent Servants? Monks and ascetics who forsake worldly attachments, seeking only the kingdom of God. Deacons who serve with purity and holiness, like the first martyr, St. Stephen. Ordinary believers, who fast, pray, and strengthen their faith through righteous living. Continues👇🏽
