The Lord shall judge with perfect justice. Every careless word, every hidden deed, every unrepented sin shall be laid bare.
“I tell you that people will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they speak.” (Matthew 12:36)
The Apostle Paul warns us:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
None shall escape. None shall deceive the Judge, for His eyes pierce the heart, and His justice is beyond question.
The Final Destination: Heaven or Hell
Where shall men go after judgment? There are only two paths the kingdom prepared for the righteous and the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.’” (Matthew 25:34)
Yet to the unrepentant, the words shall be dreadful:
“Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41)
Do you not see, O man, how great is the mercy of God, that He has warned us beforehand? Yet do you also not see how terrible it shall be for those who remain in their sins?
Heaven is the dwelling of the righteous, a new and perfect creation, where sorrow, death, and sin shall be no more.
“Behold, I make all things new.” (Revelation 21:5)
Hell is the second death, the place of eternal regret, where the fire is never quenched and the worm never dies.
“Fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” (Matthew 10:28)
A Call to Repentance: Prepare While There Is Time
Brethren, the day is near. If the Master returns today, shall He find us ready? Have we fed the hungry, clothed the naked, visited the sick, comforted the imprisoned?
For He shall say to the righteous:
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40)
But to the wicked:
“Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me.” (Matthew 25:45)
Let us, therefore, awaken from our slumber. Let us cast aside sin, embrace repentance, and prepare our souls for the glorious return of our King.
For He is coming. And when He comes, may we be found among those who shine like the sun in the kingdom of our Father.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
Amen.
