Christ's descent into the world calls us to an ascent—an ascent of the soul, an ascent toward holiness, an ascent toward communion with God. Let this fast be the ladder that lifts us from our weaknesses and passions into the radiant presence of Christ.
Conclusion: A Sacred Invitation
This first week of the Great Fast is a sacred invitation to transformation. Let us embrace it with joy, with dedication, and with unwavering faith. Let us heed the words of our Lord:
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us.
