    Part Hating Sin Not Only

With Knowledge but Also With Will

(Continued part) ๐Ÿ‘†๐Ÿพ Hating sin not only with knowledge but also with will and emotion: Many people hate sin and don't want to do it. But when his will exceeds his knowledge, he commits it again and again while knowing he hates the sin. Therefore, unless we hate the sin not only by knowledge or fear, but also by will and emotion, if we hate it only because we know its evil or believe in the judgment it will bring upon us, our will is with the fleshly feelings, and we obey it while hating it. Even if we say that we will fight for it, we will lose and fall because our fight is not from our feelings. When we are tempted by a bad habit, if the will (emotion) is not awakened to understand the extent of the sin, it is not possible to leave the sin, because it is not possible to say that I hate the sin. Saint paul the apostle said "For the good that I will to do, I do not do, but evil I will not to do, that I practice"( Romans 7:19) to show that one of the reasons we fall into sin is because our passions cause us to not apply knowledge or not align knowledge with our feelings. In general, when we say that we hate sin, the hatred must be sincere and complete, that is, with will (emotion), knowledge, and with all our strength. This is possible by fulfilling God's commandment against sin word by word, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength" (Deuteronomy 6:5).
