    The Path of Marriage While

Monasticism Is a High and Noble Calling

Continued ☝🏽 The Path of Marriage While monasticism is a high and noble calling, marriage is also a divine institution, blessed by God from the beginning. It was established in paradise itself, when God created Eve for Adam, declaring: “It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (Genesis 2:18) Marriage is a sacred covenant, a means of sanctification through love, sacrifice, and fidelity. Just as Christ loves the Church, so must a husband love his wife, and just as the Church is devoted to Christ, so must a wife be devoted to her husband (Ephesians 5:22-25). In marriage, the two become one flesh, bearing children and raising them in the fear of God. Yet, marriage comes with its own struggles and challenges, which is why both Christ and St. Paul warn that those who choose this path must do so with full awareness of its responsibilities. Conclusion Thus, upon reaching adulthood, a person stands before two paths—both blessed by God but each requiring a distinct calling. 1. The monastic life – A path of complete devotion to God, free from worldly distractions, chosen by those who can accept it for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. 2. The married life – A sacred union, established by God, in which man and woman become one, bearing children and walking together in faith. Both paths lead to holiness, but each must be undertaken with the fear of God, wisdom, and a pure heart. The choice between them is not to be made lightly but with deep prayer and discernment, seeking the will of the Lord. May God grant wisdom to all who stand at this crossroads, that they may choose the path that leads to their sanctification and ultimate union with Christ. To Him be glory, now and forever. Amen. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
