In the same manner, the priests and bishops, entrusted by Christ through Saint Peter, bear the sacred responsibility to feed and protect the flock. The words of Christ still ring clear: “Feed My sheep” (John 21:17). Yet, as in the days of old, there remain wolves disguised as shepherds. They sow discord, preach false doctrines, and lead many astray. Let us remain vigilant, holding fast to the truth handed down to us.

A Call to Watchfulness and Devotion
As we commemorate this holy Sabbath, let us fix our eyes upon the Cross—the symbol of the Shepherd’s sacrifice. Let us look to the Virgin who bore the eternal Word, and let us cry out for divine protection and guidance.
“Lord, our Good Shepherd, lead us not into the snares of false teachers but deliver us from all evil. Bind us to You with cords of love that cannot be broken.”
In closing, remember this truth: Christ, the Good Shepherd, calls each of us by name. He laid down His life so that we might live. Let us, therefore, follow Him wholeheartedly, trusting in His provision, resting in His care, and remaining vigilant against all who seek to lead us astray.
May the grace of our Lord and the prayers of the saints uphold us until we are gathered into the eternal fold where there is no more sorrow, only joy in the presence of the True Shepherd.
Amen.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen.
