The Apostle Paul reminds us of the righteous judgment of God, who will repay with rest those who suffer for His name. As we await the return of our Lord Jesus Christ in glory, we are called to walk in faith and good works, that we may be counted worthy of His calling.
General Instruction: Jude 1:20-25
We are urged to build ourselves up in the most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit and keeping ourselves in the love of God. We are to wait patiently for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, which leads to eternal life.
Gospel Reading: Luke 1:11-21
In this passage, we behold the Angel Gabriel appearing to Zacharias, proclaiming the birth of John the Baptist. Zacharias’ initial disbelief resulted in silence, teaching us to trust the word of God, for His promises will be fulfilled in their appointed time.

The Role of Saint Gabriel: A Messenger of God’s Will
Saint Gabriel, whose name means “God is my strength,” stands as a heavenly messenger and protector. In Scripture, he is sent to deliver messages of hope and divine plans, as seen in his announcements to Zacharias and the Virgin Mary. On this feast, we venerate him not only for his role in delivering God’s messages but also for his active defense of the faithful in times of peril.

Concluding Prayer
May the intercession of Saint Gabriel protect us from all harm and guide us along the path of righteousness. Let us seek the help of the heavenly hosts, trusting that their aid will never fail us.
May the blessing of Saint Gabriel be with us today and always, and may we walk boldly in the faith of our fathers, undeterred by the fires of trial, but refined by them for the glory of God. Amen.
Praise be to God forever!
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen.
