✍ Conclusion: The Call to Union with Christ
The Eucharist calls us to a life of holiness and union with Christ. It is not an end in itself but the means to our sanctification and salvation. To commune is to abide in Christ and to have Christ abide in us. Here, the faithful are invited to partake of the divine banquet, to enter into the joy of their Master, and to be transformed into the image of the One who gave Himself up for us all.
Let us, therefore, draw near with faith and with an ardent desire to be united with Christ, to be healed by His touch, and to be sanctified by His life-giving Body and Blood. May this Holy Sacrament be for us a pledge of the world to come and a haven of salvation in this present age.
In the words of our beloved Saint John Chrysostom, "O taste and see that the Lord is good" (Psalm 34:8), and let us partake of this banquet with the angels, making earth
join with heaven, in the unending hymn of praise.
Through the prayers of our Holy Fathers, Lord Jesus Christ our God, have mercy on us. Amen.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen.
