    And Let Us Not Forget

the Joy That Comes From Reading

(Continued) ☝️ And let us not forget the joy that comes from reading Holy Scripture and spiritual books. These are food for the soul, nourishment that calms the mind, fills us with hope, and leads us to repentance. Immerse yourself in these sacred texts, for they connect you with the wisdom of the saints and the very heart of God. Avoid Negativity and Embrace Repentance Do not waste your energy on blaming others or dwelling on their faults. No one is perfect; just as others may have shortcomings, so too do you. Think the best of people and reject negativity. Sin clouds our vision, but repentance clears the soul and allows us to live in purity. Just as we wash our bodies to remove physical dirt, let repentance cleanse our souls and restore our joy. Rejoice in Christ’s Sacrifice Finally, the ultimate source of our happiness is found in Christ Himself. In receiving His body and blood in the Holy Eucharist, we partake in the deepest union with Him, the end of all our striving and the beginning of true joy. Every action we take, every thought we think, every prayer we utter, should lead us to this divine union. Christ is the wellspring of eternal joy, and in Him alone can we find true and lasting happiness. Conclusion If we embrace these principles—rejoicing in hope, prayer, thanksgiving, and sacred practices—we will discover a life of true joy in Christ. These are not fleeting emotions but deep, abiding truths that anchor us in God’s eternal promises. May God grant us wisdom to understand these truths and fill our hearts with the hope of inheriting His eternal Kingdom. Amen. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
