👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾 About the #Holy #Eucharist
(Part 4)
Respected and beloved John's repentant website members, who follow the Orthodox lesson and spiritual counsel which we serve to provide in a daily basis; It is to be recalled that, we sent a series of sections on the basic points on the subject. Today, we have sent you the next part as follows, so we entrust you all to read and learn from it.
1. A person who is not present when the Liturgy begins or who doesn't follow it thoroughly by being present for the whole service is not allowed to receive the Eucharist. Likewise, a priest cannot serve in Liturgy if he isn't present before it starts. Therefore, when we plan to receive the Eucharist, we should make sure to arrive at the church before the Liturgy begins.
2. It is necessary to focus our thoughts on the Liturgy, approach in fear of God, and most importantly, we should approach in an absolute belief to get salvation for our body and soul in the Holy Eucharist
3. If you know the prayer to be prayed when you receive Holy Communion, you should say it in heart, or else, we should approach it in the fear of God by thinking repeatedly in our hearts that this is the flesh and blood of Christ. In the same way, when receiving it, you should say 'Amen' once on the body and twice on the blood. (Mass Apostles)
4. According to the order of the Church, from the bishops to the deacons, to the faithful, everyone receives the Holy Communion in line according to their rank.
5. Once after receiving the Holy flesh and blood of Jesus Christ, you should drink Holy water. This holy water is served right there for those who received Eucharist, and it represents the water that flowed from our Lord's right side while he was pierced by a spear as he was on the cross. Then, you should cover your mouth because it helps to remember that we shouldn't discuss earthly things before we eat something (Fit Men 13 Krista 65).
6. If possible, it is preferable for the receiver of Holy Communion to be accompanied by someone. But this is not an obligation or a law written by the church, but from the point of view of having someone by his side to help facilitating things so that he does not face challenges.
8. Those who do not believe and didn't take lesson about the Holy Communion are forbidden to receive it. So, it is necessary to monitor and control this. (Ft Men 23 Rasub 44) They should first get a lesson from their church teachers or from their father of repetance about the Mystrery of communion in advance and believe that the sacrament they receive is the flesh and blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
9. If a penitent person falls ill with a fatal illness before completing the period of penance, he is not prevented from receiving the Eucharist. On the other hand, a person who is in the canon of penance cannot receive Holy Communion without finishing the canon he received, unless he is in a life-threatening illness.
10. A person who is tormented by a demon, a sick person, is not prevented from receiving Holy Eucharist. (Ft Men 13)
