    Prayer We Have Mentioned That

    Prayer Is A

(Continued) 👆 👉About Prayer (Part 2) We have mentioned that prayer is a special spiritual tool to connect with God. For this to happen, our relationship with God must be continuous and constant. We should adhere to God's commandments and observe fasts in religion and morals. This is why we are commanded to "pray without ceasing" (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Colossians 4:2, Luke 18:1, 21:36, Romans 12:12). As mentioned in the holy preface of the Gospel and preserved for us in tradition by the Father, before Satan misled Eve, he tried to tempt our father Adam. But when he approached Adam, he found him engrossed in prayer and could not deceive him. Later, when Satan approached Eve at six o'clock in the afternoon, he found her idle and used that vulnerability to deceive her. Therefore, Satan, our arch-enemy, does not rest even for a moment from tempting and misleading us by exploiting our weaknesses. That is why we should not separate from prayer to be able to resist him. As Jesus Christ said, "Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation" (Luke 22:46). In the spiritual teachings of our church, prayer is a continuous ritual of worship. "Pray without ceasing, give thanks in all things, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18). Jesus Christ also taught the apostles that we can cast out demons through fasting and prayer (Matthew 16:20). Satan, who knows this very well, tempts us to stay away from prayer by making us lazy and distracting us. Once he has us in his grasp, he makes us forget to pray when we become comfortable with him. Therefore, as our Lord told us, we should all wake up and pray constantly. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every language that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin, and the Cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Please follow our Telegram group every day and share it with your friends: https://t.me/orthodoxQnAs
