It is a gesture laden with eschatological significance, a physical and spiritual posture of readiness for the Day of the Lord, when the true Light will dawn in its fullness.
Thus, as we turn towards the east in our liturgical rites, let us do so with hearts aflame with love, minds illuminated by faith, and souls stirred by the hope of the Resurrection. In this sacred orientation, may we find the strength to traverse the wilderness of this world, guided by the Star of Bethlehem towards the heavenly Jerusalem, where Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, reigns eternally.
Blessed be God, the Mother of God, the Holy Cross, and all the saints, now and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever, today and always.
May the blessings of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin, and the Cross be upon us. Amen.
