    Our Lady the Virgin Mary

Question Bless Me Father I Am A

    #mary
About out Lady the Virgin #Mary Question፦ Bless me Father. I am a convert. I have a profound love for Our Lady Dingil Maryam. I heard it said that She is the gate to Zion. How should we properly approach Our Lady Maryam? How should we understand her? Answer፦ Blessed are you, dear child, in your journey towards the embrace of Holy Orthodoxy. Our Lady, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, holds a place of high honor in our faith, for she is the gate through which the Light of the World has entered. As it is written: "Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel" (Isaiah 7:14). In approaching Our Lady Maryam, we do so with utmost reverence and love, recognizing her as the pure vessel of salvation, chosen by God to bear His only-begotten Son. We venerate her, not as a deity, but as the Mother of God, honoring her unique and singular role in the history of our salvation. To understand her is to reflect upon her life — her humility, her obedience, and her unyielding faith. She stands as the supreme model of submission to God's will, a beacon of light guiding us towards her Son, Jesus Christ. We approach her with prayerful hearts, through the many beautiful Akathists and hymns written in her honor, through contemplation of her icons, and by emulating her virtues in our lives. Remember, dear child, that devotion to the Theotokos is a journey towards Christ. For every honor we give to Mary directs us to the ultimate worship of God. Let us ask ourselves: how might we, like the Blessed Virgin, become bearers of Christ in our world? May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every language that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin, and the Cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
