About Our #Lady, the #covenant of #peace Beloved members of John's Repentance spiritual service, as we commemorate the monthly feast of our lady, the covenant of peace, let us delve into the profound mysteries and sublime truths concerning our Lady from the venerable tradition of the Orthodox Church, drawing inspiration from the revered "June Golgotha” (ሰኔ ጎልጎታ) prayer. Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary, stands as a luminous beacon in the economy of our salvation, holding a place of unparalleled honor and veneration in the bosom of the Church. She is the Ark of the New Covenant, the vessel through which the Word became flesh, and the bridge connecting heaven and earth. In her humility, purity, and unfathomable obedience to the divine will, she has become the Covenant of Peace, ushering in the Prince of Peace into our midst. In the prayer of "June Golgotha", we delve into the profound mystery of the Incarnation, contemplating the divine and human natures of Christ, and beholding the pivotal role of our Lady in this salvific event. Here, she stands at the tomb of our Lord, engaging in a dialogue of celestial magnitude, revealing the depths of her understanding of the divine plan and her unwavering faith in her Son and God. Our Lady speaks of the ineffable mystery of the Incarnation, acknowledging the divine nature of Christ, and His pre-existence with the Father and the Holy Spirit. She confesses Him as the Creator of all, the Sustainer of the universe, and the Lord of hosts, before whom even the angelic powers tremble. Yet, in an act of incomprehensible condescension, He chose to be born of her, taking flesh and dwelling among us. In this divine economy, our Lady becomes the mediator between God and man, the ladder upon which the divine descends to the human, and the human is raised to the divine. She is the peaceful harbor in the storm of life, the refuge of sinners, and the advocate for our souls. By her intercessions, she brings our supplications before the throne of her Son, imploring His mercy and grace upon us. The "June Golgotha" prayer illumines the path of our understanding, guiding us through the mysteries of faith, and unveiling the treasures of wisdom hidden within the Orthodox tradition. In it, we find a call to reverence, a summons to contemplation, and an invitation to partake in the divine life. Our Lady, the Covenant of Peace, stands as a testament to the transformative power of divine grace, calling us to emulate her virtues, to live in accordance with the divine will, and to seek refuge under her maternal mantle. She is the star guiding us through the tumultuous seas of life, leading us to the safe harbor of the kingdom of heaven. In conclusion, beloved in Christ, let us turn our gaze towards our Lady, the Covenant of Peace, seeking her intercessions and emulating her virtues. Let us delve into the depths of the "June Golgotha" prayer, drawing wisdom and illumination from its sacred words. And let us, with one heart and one voice, glorify the Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – now and forever, unto the ages of ages. Amen. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of The Virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
