    The Holiness of Our Lady

the Virgin Mary in the Resplendent Tapestry

About the holiness of our #Lady the #Virgin #Mary. In the resplendent tapestry of God’s Creation, there exists a luminary surpassing all luminaries, a blessed vessel more sacrosanct than the Cherubim and Seraphim - this, my brethren, is none other than Our Lady, the Theotokos, the Holy Virgin Mary, whom the Creator Himself has chosen as His most hallowed tabernacle. In her, grace, humility, and obedience converge to compose a symphony of Divine Love, where her voice tenderly whispers, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” (Luke 1:38). It is vital to comprehend the awe and reverence the heavens bear towards the Blessed Virgin. In the realm of Angels, who partake in the ceaseless singing of the Divine Liturgy and maintain their resplendent purity, there is a profound veneration for her who bore the Uncontainable within her womb. These spiritual beings, who wing across the heavens, and whose gaze pierces through the eons, veil their countenance in her sacred presence. It is narrated by the holy prophets how the Cherubim cover their faces with their wings in reverential fear (Isaiah 6:2); yet Our Lady, blessed among women, cradled in her bosom He before whom the Angels tremble. Contemplate, beloved brethren, the boundless wonder encapsulated in the incarnation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! The One who was before time, the Alpha and Omega, He who stretched out the heavens and fathomless seas, deigned to be ensconced in human flesh. In this hallowed mystery, the Virgin Mary’s womb became the resplendent chamber of the Eternal King. He who sustains all creation with His mighty word, received sustenance from her breast. The ineffable grace and benevolence of the Lord, who chose Bethlehem's humble manger as His birthplace and a cave as His sacred cradle. Amongst the lowing of cattle and the soft whispers of the night breeze, the Holy Virgin beheld the countenance of the Salvation of the World. In her tender embrace, the Word was made flesh. The resounding alleluias of the angelic hosts and the shepherd’s innocent joy - all these she treasured in her heart. Through her sojourn, the Theotokos demonstrated the zenith of maternal love, virtue, and humility. From Bethlehem to Egypt, she braved peril and uncertainty, safeguarding the incarnate God. At the foot of the Cross, upon the hill of Golgotha, her heart was pierced by the sword of sorrow, as foretold by the righteous Simeon. There she stood, a mother beside her dying Son, a symbol of unfathomable love and agony. Her sanctity was not borne of vainglory or haughtiness, but of an inimitable humility and grace. When Archangel Gabriel heralded the tidings of her divine calling, she yielded herself as the Lord’s humble handmaiden. Her response, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord,” encapsulates her unwavering devotion and submission to the will of the Almighty. Let us then, beloved members, turn our gaze towards the Holy Theotokos, beseeching her intercession. May we glean from her life the virtues of humility, obedience, and love. In our earthly pilgrimage, may she be the guiding star that leads us to the embrace of her Son, our Redeemer. Ponder upon her holiness and stand in awe, for words are but a frail vessel to encompass the grandeur of the Virgin Mary, the true Ark of the Covenant, the Holy of Holies. Through her, the world was blessed with the true Manna, the Bread of Life, Jesus Christ our Lord. Unto her be praise, honor, and thanksgiving throughout the ages. Amen. May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every language that He has created, today and always. May the blessings of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin, and the Cross be upon us. Amen. © John's Repentance Reach out to us on our social media platforms and share it with your friends: https://linktr.ee/johnsrepentance
