About #God listening to #prayers
Question: Does God listen to prayers? Why are some so successful and other not? Why is it that no matter how much they cry/pray, they're not successful?
Answer: In the shadowed halls of the deepest reflections of the human spirit, there resounds a question, both ancient and profound, that beckons the attention of the earnest seeker. With hearts aflutter and souls yearning for the embrace of the divine, we mortals oft implore, "Does the Lord, in His majesty, hearken unto our prayers?" This question, akin to the ceaseless murmur of waves upon the shore, is as ancient as the lament of fallen Adam.
Let us, in humble obedience and trembling reverence, glean wisdom from the Holy Scriptures. For the sacred Word proclaims in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Lo! How merciful is the Almighty, whose ears are ever attuned to the suppliant's cry!
Yet, we must fathom the depth and breadth of prayer. Forsooth, it is a tapestry woven of thanksgiving and supplication. As we thank our Lord for the blessings showered upon us, we beseech His grace for fortitude in our travails. When, in the freshness of morn, we speak, "Blessed be Thy Name, O Lord, for driving back the dark and bathing us in Thy radiant light," we tender our gratitude whilst praying for His blessings to rain down upon the day.
Let us heed the words of our Savior in Matthew 6:9-13, where He taught us to pray, “Our Father.” Behold the tenderness of His exhortation, for our entreaties ascend not to a distant and indifferent sovereign, but to our heavenly Father. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him.
But, brothers and sisters in Christ, let it not be forgotten that the sincerity of heart is a crucial vessel for our prayers. For the Scriptures implore us to forgive, that we may be forgiven, and to harbor love in the sanctuary of our hearts. Many a prayer is cast asunder for it is borne upon the tainted winds of rancor, whilst those anointed with love find refuge in the embrace of the Almighty.
Contemplate the prayers of Moses, the friend of God. When he pleaded before the Lord, the Red Sea turned into walls and the mountains fled. These marvels were fruits borne out of humility and unyielding faith.
Likewise, let us invoke the blessed mother Yostina, whose pious supplications were received by the Almighty, as chronicled in the sacred text, Sanksar. Truly, the fulfillment of prayers rests not upon the whims of the Lord, but upon the sincerity and purity with which they are offered.
The fathers of old, in their wisdom, declared that prayers, pure and untainted by worldly malice, find favor in the eyes of the Lord. It is not that the Almighty does not hear, but that our prayers are oftentimes like seeds sown amongst thorns; they grow but bear no fruit. For hearts laden with vengeance and bitterness cannot harvest the fruits of the Lord's bounty.
If, then, you wish your cries to breach the heavens and reverberate within the halls of the Almighty, cleanse thine hearts of malice, embrace thy brethren in love, and kneel with humility and reverence. In doing so, your prayers shall be as sweet incense to the Lord.
May the Grace of God guide us to walk in righteousness, to shun that which tarnishes the soul, and to ensure our prayers are as pure as the first fallen snow. May He grant us the strength to be heirs to His Eternal Kingdom, where praises resound through endless ages. Amen.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every language that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of the Holy Mother of God, the Virgin, and the Cross be upon us. Amen.
