(Continued) š
Regarding marriage, spiritual justice must be considered before marrying. Religion, ethics, age, and health are important factors to consider. Since the first requirement of marriage is religion, the solution is for the partner to come and be baptized in the Orthodox Church. It is not acceptable to engage in premarital sex, which goes against the Church's teachings.
If our dear member still likes the Muslim person, they should pray for him to come to the religion and for their own heart to turn towards good thoughts. Consulting with him about his intention to marry and their willingness to be baptized in the Orthodox Church is essential. Living together in marriage without following the Church's teachings is not acceptable, and one must repent and do what is expected of them from by the Church.
We have two choices: to live with God or to live apart from God, but a life apart from God is reat not an option. We must acknowledge that knowingly or unknowingly, we have made mistakes thus far. God is merciful and forgiving, and we should understand and know that He says, "Return to Me, and I will return to you." Without giving too many reasons, our first duty is to repent for our sinful nature.
After this, we should ask God to help us for the rest of our lives through prayer. Our prayer should express gratitude and supplication. We should thank God for bringing us here and acknowledge that a life apart from God cannot be called love.
May the name of the Holy God be praised forever and ever in every tongue that He has created, today and always.
May the blessings of God's mother, the virgin, and the cross be upon us. Amen.
